St. Antonius Green Energy Project (SAGEP)

In 2012, with the help of Misereor and others, we realized a 210 kWp solar plant project at St. Antony Monastery on the Red Sea in Egypt, where there is no public power grid reachable.

From 2013 and on St. Antonius Foundation used the enormous potential of the solar project to fulfill the first priority of its work, namely to spread the know-how about construction, operation, and economic efficiency of solar plants of a similar size and other renewable energy sources in Egypt.
